Privacy / Book Builder

Your books are not our business model.

This policy describes the current publicly available versions of Puppet Pals Book Builder and Book Builder: School Edition.

Current app privacy label

Data Not Collected. The current apps do not send personal information, analytics, or student-created books to Polished Play.

01 / Scope

This policy covers both current Book Builder editions:

  • Puppet Pals Book Builder, the free standard app with an optional one-time Full Unlock.
  • Book Builder: School Edition, the paid, fully unlocked classroom app.

The editions differ in how features are acquired, but they share the same core book-creation and storage design.

02 / What Polished Play collects

No app accounts, tracking, or content collection.

The current public apps do not send the following to Polished Play:

  • Names, email addresses, student identifiers, or account profiles
  • Device or advertising identifiers
  • Analytics events or usage history
  • Created books, page text, imported photos, or exported PDFs
  • Location, contacts, or browsing activity

Email sent separately for support or procurement is outside the app and includes whatever information the sender chooses to provide. Schools should not include student information in support messages.

03 / Where books are stored

Created books use Apple’s iCloud Documents path.

Book Builder saves created books in an Apple iCloud Documents container. Polished Play does not operate that storage, receive a copy of the books, or have access to the user’s iCloud account.

Whether documents synchronize, remain available across devices, or are retained depends on the user’s Apple Account and iCloud settings—or, for a school, its Managed Apple Account, MDM, managed-app, and iCloud policies.

04 / Sharing and printing

A user chooses when a book leaves the app.

Full Unlock and School Edition can create a PDF for sharing or home printing. When a user chooses one of those actions, Apple’s system share or print interface sends the PDF to the destination the user selects. Polished Play does not receive the PDF through that workflow.

Users and schools are responsible for deciding whether a chosen destination—such as Files, AirDrop, email, a printer, or another app—is appropriate for the content.

05 / Apple services

Apple operates the App Store, in-app purchase system, Apple School Manager, device-management frameworks, iCloud, and system sharing and printing. Apple may process purchase, account, device, or document information under its own terms and the organization’s Apple configuration. Those records are not sent to Polished Play by Book Builder.

The standard app’s optional Full Unlock is processed by Apple. Polished Play receives the transaction state needed to unlock features, not the customer’s payment-card details.

06 / Children and schools

Book Builder does not require a child or student account and does not use app data for advertising, profiling, or sale. Schools remain responsible for device configuration, Apple account administration, content-retention rules, and any sharing destination they permit.

For deployment-specific guidance, see the school setup guide.

07 / Contact and changes

Questions about this policy may be sent through the Polished Play contact page. If a future app release changes the data flow, this policy and the applicable App Store privacy answers will be updated before that version is made public.
