Puppet Pals 2 / Privacy

Privacy policy

Puppet Pals 2 keeps the creative work inside the app on the device. This policy explains that boundary and applies to both the standard app and the separate School Edition.

Evaluating the app for a school? The School Edition uses the same zero-collection approach and is sold separately as a one-time purchase per app license.

01 / Scope

One policy for both editions

This policy covers the currently distributed standard version of Puppet Pals 2 and Puppet Pals 2: School Edition. Neither edition asks users to create an account or sends personal information, usage analytics, or user-created content to Polished Play.

The standard and School Edition apps have different purchase models, but their in-app data practices are the same. School Edition is the fully unlocked, one-time-purchase version for managed classroom use.

02 / Collection

Information we collect

None.

During normal use, neither edition of Puppet Pals 2 collects, stores, or transmits information to Polished Play. In particular, the apps do not send us:

  • Names, email addresses, or other contact information
  • Photos, custom faces, recordings, or finished movies
  • App-usage events or behavioral analytics
  • Precise location or device identifiers
  • Advertising IDs or tracking information
  • Technical logs or diagnostic data from the app

The apps do not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, and Polished Play does not use cookies inside either app.

03 / Creative work

Content stays under device control

Movies, recordings, and custom faces created in Puppet Pals 2 are stored locally on the device. The app does not upload that content to Polished Play, back it up on our servers, or sync it between devices.

A user or school controls the device and the content stored on it. If someone deliberately exports or shares a movie, or if a device-level backup service is enabled, the selected service and its privacy terms govern that separate action. Polished Play does not receive the content through the app.

Removing the app or erasing a managed device may remove local work. Schools should manage backups and retention according to their own device policies.

04 / Children and students

Children's privacy

Puppet Pals 2 is designed for children, families, and classrooms. Its normal workflow does not ask a child or student to provide personal information and does not create a Polished Play account or cloud profile.

We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as applicable to our services. Because the School Edition does not send student information to Polished Play, we do not maintain education records for schools through the app.

05 / Services

Third parties and purchases

Puppet Pals 2 does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not sell, rent, or share app-user data for advertising or marketing.

Apple distributes the apps and handles App Store purchases. Apple may process an Apple Account, payment details, purchase history, device information, and diagnostics under Apple's own terms and privacy policy. Polished Play does not receive credit-card or other payment credentials from Apple.

On supported school-managed devices, the app can use Apple ClassKit and Schoolwork to start and stop a “Make a movie” activity. That activity state is handled by Apple’s operating-system-managed ClassKit data store and the school’s Apple services; it is not sent to Polished Play.

This policy describes Puppet Pals 2 itself. If someone separately contacts Polished Play through our website or by email, we process the information they choose to provide so we can respond; that communication is not part of the app's child or classroom workflow.

06 / Distribution

Internet connection and school deployment

An internet connection may be needed to download or update the app through the App Store. School Edition can also be assigned to managed devices through Apple School Manager and a school's mobile-device-management service. Those distribution systems operate separately from Puppet Pals 2.

Once installed, the app does not use an internet connection to send user data or analytics to Polished Play. Classroom creation and playback remain on-device.

07 / Revisions

Changes to this policy

If the app's data practices change, we will revise this policy and its effective date. Any future online feature would be documented here before release; the zero-collection description would no longer apply to that feature.
